Use this checklist before you agree to a sponsorship. It helps you compare packages using the same questions.
Audience
- Who does the opportunity reach?
- Is the audience number players, members, attendees, visitors, subscribers, followers, or another group?
- What period does the number cover?
- Where are people located?
- How was the number estimated or measured?
Deliverables
- What exactly will the sponsor receive?
- Where will each item appear?
- When will each item appear?
- How long will it remain active or visible?
- Who provides artwork, signs, links, products, or staff?
Terms
- What is the cash amount, starting amount, product, service, or prize request?
- What does the contribution cover?
- Is the package for one event, a season, a year, or another period?
- How many packages are available?
- Is your business category exclusive?
Operations
- What are the deadlines?
- Can you use a vendor table, samples, an offer, or a QR code?
- What rules apply at the venue or event?
- Who is your contact person?
- What happens if the event date changes or the package cannot be delivered as planned?
Measurement
- What is your one main goal?
- What will you track?
- What link, code, form, or lead log will you use?
- When will you review the result?
A clear answer does not need to be long. It does need to be specific enough for both sides to understand the agreement.
